Mr. T. Denholm BSc AMInstP Cert IP Law

Educated at Kings College London and at the University of Maryland,
USA, Tim Denholm graduated with 1st class honours in Physics.

On leaving Kings he joined Hoffmann Eitle - a Munich based Patent law
firm - where he was employed as a Patent Attorney Trainee in their
London offices.

At Hoffmann Eitle, Tim specialised in advising clients on the practical
and legal aspects of the progress of their applications during
prosecution, and generating and putting forward arguments to
Examiners in support of the client's cases.

He also worked extensively on helping British and foreign clients (mainly
large or multinational corporations as well as some SMEs) to make the
Patent systems work to their advantage.

He drafted patents for prosecution variously before the UK Patent
Office, the European Patent Office (EPO) and also via the Patent
Co-operation Treaty (PCT).

After leaving Hoffmann Eitle he founded TJD Patent Services as a way
to work more closely with the people who are generating the newest
ideas.

Since then, TJD Patent Services has been incorporated as a limited
liability partnership with the addition of John Denholm as a partner.

Most recently, Tim gained the certificate in Intellectual Property Law
from the Intellectual property law research institute of Queen Mary
University of London.

Tim prefers to initially meet clients in person, and otherwise finds email
to be the most convenient mode of communication.
